Chain of Commodities

The tropical agri product are spread along the Indonesian island. To optimize the resources for potential market, we place our branch in every project points in four main island in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the production cycle should be shorten by integrating the resources and processing units. It’s a challenge to integrate all of production unit from the upstream to downstream level in Indonesia. To achieve this, it is necessary to build a good management system on each project point of every resource.

We target the farmers and small processors in bid to improve fair practices for procurement. Together, these activities can encourage the purity of commodities and their traceability systems by improving the management for procurement and increasing the direct production from local farmers. The crucial point for the farmers are during harvesting season. Recurring problems like price fluctuation should be resolved, as most of traders in harvesting season buy the unprocessed commodities in large quantities from the farmers into their hub warehouse.

In short, Agrorina comes to link the harvested products to central market. It is our job to create the best procurement strategy for the commodities. Firstly, the strategy should enable the company to share its knowledge on the commodities to the farmers and vice versa. Through knowledge sharing, the company gives the information on the requirements for standardization and regulation in the central market/countries. The company will implement it through collaborative work with the farmers, among others, to provide a small processor to process the commoditites to fullfil the standards. Secondly, the strategy aims to optimize the production at harvests season, through farmers’ dedication to the fulfillment of harvesting techniques and post-harvest practices. The techniques and practices are intended to create multi-harvesting in one year of crop calendar for high density farming. This part involves various stakeholders - agricultural and trade ministries, universities, and investors. The involvement of the stakeholders aims to create the sustainable agriculture practices.
